Michael Madana Kamarajan 720p movie download utorrent - Michael Madana Kamarajan, the Tamil Lion, was one of the greatest sports heroes India has ever produced. The sporting icon died in 1989 at the age of 61 when he suffered a heart attack during a football match against England. Madana Kamarajan was born in 1927 in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. His father was a tailor and his mother ran an eatery in their small thatched-roof house near Venkatamma temple. His childhood taught him how to play games like kabaddi and football with neighbourhood kids in the streets and by using empty shells for goals on dusty roadsides. Kamarajan joined IIT Madras's science department in 1950, graduating in 1955 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then went on to acquire an MBA from Harvard University in 1958. From the late 1940s, Kamarajan played club games for the Thiruvenkatamur Police team, under coaches B. Srinivasan and Selvaraj Appala Raja. It was the former who recommended him for selection for the Tamil Nadu Police team when he was 15 years old. Kamarajan played his first competitive match against the Pune Police in June 1950. In May 1951, he captained the state team in its victorious run to the final of the National Football Championship in Bangalore, when they beat Bombay Police by a single goal. In 1952–53, he captained Tamil Nadu's football team in a highly acclaimed three-month tour of Australia and New Zealand. Their only loss was against South Africa at Johannesburg in a friendly match. But Kamarajan took to playing for his state side with an infectious passion and was soon being mentioned alongside popular names such as P.K. Banerjee and Bimal Kariappa. Kamarajan represented India in the 1954 Asian Games in Manila, where he scored the only goal for India against Korea. He captained the Indian team to win the 1959 Nehru Cup under Jarnail Singh. Kamarajan was also part of the Indian side that won the 1965 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. He played his last international match against Sri Lanka on 30 September 1967. When he retired from playing after that match, at age 38, he was one of India's most successful sports-people to have ever lived. Kamarajan went on to become a leading figure in football administration and was elected president of All India Football Federation (AIFF). He was also the vice-president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for Afro-Asian Games in 1965. He worked closely with former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who he had known since their school days in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The two are drawn together by Kamarajan's passion for football and his recognition of an "Indian Way". Kamarajan founded the Kamaraj Foundation, which was set up to support football development in India. It has funded over 1,000 projects to develop football across 26 states of India. cfa1e77820
